Dashboard updates: Orders
At Vital, our goal is to eliminate any friction in the end-to-end laboratory testing flow. We are excited to share that we have rolled out several upgrades to the orders dashboard that enable more seamless care delivery at greater scale. Clinical operations and developer teams alike will benefit from the easier access to information and new dashboard experience. These upgrades include:
New Orders View Filters and Sorting
The Orders dashboard view now includes a search bar that supports a variety of advanced filters and sorting options, including patient name, order status, created date and more. Get to the information about the user or order faster, and more accurately than ever before.
New “Created on” Column
We added added a new “Created on” column that shows the date the order was created on (in UTC), and when the order was last updated. Being able to filter on recently updated orders allows you to focus on the latest most pertinent information.
Copy Dashboard Data
You can now pull order_id, user_id’s and client_user_id’s from the dashboard into your local clipboard, making it easier to use for debugging, searching, or status checking across the Vital platform.

What’s Next
We are excited to keep working on features that make it easier for teams to use our dashboard. Planned future upgrades include sorting orders by the lab test pane, ordering username, and critical value status is something we’re excited to add. In addition, we are eyeing a re-work to the “Your Panels” view with advanced filtering, and ability to view AOE requirements. Please reach out to us with questions, or to give us feedback on what features you would find particularly impactful for your team.
